FREE CLOTHING DISTRIBUTION

was offered EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY

from 12 noon until 2pm

at

GALILEE (lower level)

2101 Shadyside Avenue, Suitland, MD 20746

Pre-COVID-19, the DORCAS Clothing Outreach Center was open, year-round, and provided a selection of "free", clean clothing for men, women, and children. Individuals and families were able to come to visit the location between 12 noon and 2:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

DORCAS offered quarterly, "free clothing" fairs at Galilee Baptist Church, 2252 Minnesota Avenue, S.E., Washington, D.C. 

 

The program serviced over 400 individuals during 2017.

Dorcas supports Project Angel Tree during the month of December, to assist with the clothing needs of children whose parents are incarcerated.  Families affected by fire can contact us we will provide emergency clothing services.

As an extension of the Dorcas Clothing Outreach Center, a sewing class was implemented during the summer of 2016. Because of its popularity, a second class was added on Saturdays during 2018.

​

Sewing classes have been suspended during this COVID-19 Pandemic season.
